
Cara Kronen is the Mayor of the Village of Tuckahoe in Westchester County, New York. She earned her Master’s in Secondary Education and Social Studies at the City College of New York, and her doctorate in Philosophy/Urban Systems at Rutgers University. Kronen serves as Program Coordinator for Secondary Education Programs at the Borough of Manhattan Community College (CUNY) and has worked on NSF-funded research embedding computational thinking into school curricula. In local government, she helped develop a Comprehensive Village Plan balancing community character with responsible growth, and oversaw infrastructure improvements addressing climate resilience, storm water management, and road resurfacing. Her priorities include strengthening trust in local government through clear communication and measurable results, and creating an inclusive environment.
