Hayley Kiyoko is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and director celebrated for frank, queer‑centered pop. She first worked in entertainment as a child actor and dancer, later appearing in films such as Lemonade Mouth and forming the girl group The Stunners. Kiyoko’s breakout single “Girls Like Girls” paired a cinematic self‑directed video with lyrics that resonated with LGBTQ+ listeners, earning her the fan nickname “Lesbian Jesus.” Her albums Expectations and Panorama blend glossy hooks with diaristic storytelling. Offstage, she advocates for visibility and inclusive representation in mainstream music, mentoring emerging artists. Since publicly coming out, Kiyoko has been an advocate for LGBT rights and her music videos highlight her own experiences and various LGBT-related issues.
