Glenn Greenwald is an American journalist and author known for adversarial reporting and civil‑liberties advocacy. Openly gay, he built much of his adult life in Brazil, where he married Brazilian congressman David Miranda and raised two sons. Greenwald has written about LGBTQ rights alongside broader themes of state power, surveillance, and free expression, arguing that equality depends on consistent protections for dissent and privacy.
