Chanda Prescod-Weinstein is a queer and agender theoretical physicist and writer whose work links cosmology with social justice. As a prominent voice on equity in STEM, she highlights how racism, sexism, ableism, and anti‑LGBTQ+ bias shape scientific institutions and who gets to belong. Through essays and her book The Disordered Cosmos, she argues that knowledge-making is inseparable from the lived experiences of marginalized people and calls for safer, more inclusive academic spaces. She supports queer and trans scientists by centering intersectionality, challenging harassment, and insisting that scientific excellence includes dignity, access, and community. Her scholarship invites allies to listen, act, and share power.
